We have all at some point in our lives heard the statement “𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞s 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭.”. However, is that true? In the world of business where things move quickly, is waiting too passive of an act?

Today, there is an expectation of instant gratification. Whether it be with instant service, instant sale conversion, instant fundraising, instant new product launching or in general, instant success.

I think we have lost the sense of time taken and needed in the creation process. The importance of design, planning and completion is often overlooked. It takes years for a person to grow to maturity, with many hard lessons learnt along the way.

Likewise, education takes years and involves a lot of hard work. It is the same in business. We can think or imagine something very quickly, but it takes time to turn our ideas into reality.

We need to have patience in turning our business dreams into reality. Extra time taken along the way to hone our plans, ensure that our processes will cope with the stresses and strains of day-to-day business activity. Our dreams must survive the realities of our business life.

So, take time and be patient- for good things do come to those who wait.
