The Power of Asking The Right Question

What steps can I take to improve my business?’
In my role as a virtual CFO, I get the chance to work alongside a whole host of creative thinkers and business leaders. I wanted to share a simple yet very impactful question that I love to help my clients answer.

‘What steps can I take to improve my business?’

I love being a sounding board for CEOs when they face real-life decisions and advise them on the various options that they are considering. The matters they may have overlooked and the interconnections with other decisions they are also considering – all in the light of their previously stated strategic goal.

Up until recently, this might have been the decision on whether to take on additional office space. This decision connects to the decision to hire new full-time staff, the need to provide a conducive team working environment promoting better communication between team members, support across the team, improved efficiency in delivering sales projects all against the background of the financial envelope the business is working under and the company’s strategic goal of delivering the growth target for 2020/21.

Asking the right questions has the power to lead you down the right path.
